It is cooling off day today were no candidates are allowed to hold rallys, meet residents and give out election materials. It gives voters to decide their candidate of their choice for 24 h before eligible voters head to the polls tomorrow. So far, no candidates had broken the rules.
Also on 27 August 2011 (Saturday) at 10 p.m. (+8 GMT), join me on twitter for tweets update or you can log on to http://pechannelnewsasia.com/ for live coverage of the result on television. Note that it can take about three to six hours after 10 p.m. before the final results are announced by Mr Yam Ah Mee, the returning officer for PE 2011 & GE 2011. It may take a longer time before the results are announced as a recount may be neccesary at any time.
Once the final result is released, only one would recieved the highest share of votes among the three candidates, and only that one, would become our next President of the Republic of Singapore.
Would it be Dr Tan Cheng Bock?
Mr Tan Jee Say?
Dr Tony Tan Keng Yam?
Or even Mr Tan Kin Lian?
We will soon find out...
